Children’s booklets
Summary:
The stories will be written by students from various missions around the world. The children will be instructed to write a two-page summary of their day, a special day or experience they remember. The teacher or facilitator of the children will be given a basic guideline information package to help guide the children’s writing. The stories collected from the children will then be put into an envelope and mailed to an address provided. We will compile the children’s stories and have them made into booklets. We will do this for multiple missions around the world. They will be copied and sold through the fundraising process in various methods for example we will be contacting school Principals, Parent Council.
Purpose:
To help generate income back to the missions that are making a difference in the lives of children around the world.
Benefits:

-
Children's participation in helping other children.
-
To teach Canadian children compassion and understanding of other cultures.
-
To help reduce prejudices through learning.

Process is through stages.
Basic Stages:
-
Start up

-Bring people together who share in this vision and would like to contribute. Everyone involved will play an important role, from prayer to hands on help. Also everyone chooses the amount of time they put into helping whether a little or a lot, it all goes toward the final outcome.
Meet together and find out where everyone wants to help.
2. Structure

Put together a structured plan as a group then make a list of specific tasks and begin putting names to who will do them

3. Contact

-Contacting and getting information to the Missions.

-Put together a list of missions to contact, starting with the mission’s Strathmore Alliance supports.

- get information to the missions who are interested in participating in this fundraising endeavor.
-Basic instruction package to send out to participaing missions.

4. Waiting & Research
While we wait:
-Decide on the layout and design of booklets.

-Researching publishing options including self-publishing.

-Gathering school fundraising information. Contacts, rules & regulations etc.
